Add a little colour for a healthy headspace

COMMUNITY EVENT: The Rapid Relief Team will supply a barbecue and plenty of food at headspace Mount Gambier on Thursday.

HEADSPACE Mount Gambier has encouraged young people to add a little colour to their day tomorrow for national headspace day.

South East artist Jeremy Ievins has designed a mural on the empty wall next to headspace on Commercial Street East to allow young people to pick up a paint brush to help colour it in.

The mural will be a fun and colourful work of public art incorporating the seven tips for a healthy headspace.

Mount Gambier’s headspace day activities will include a fitness circuit with Jetts Fitness personal trainers, live music from local talent Matt James and a barbecue supplied by the Rapid Relief Team.

“Come along for this school holiday event, have some creative fun and help design community art that will be enjoyed for a long time to come,” headspace community liaison officer Nick McInerney said.

“We will have information stations and there will be the chance to win a great prize simply by letting us know what you do to add a little colour to your day.

“This event has generated a lot of community support and we have received generous donations from a number of local businesses.”

A nationwide event, headspace day promotes the mental health and wellbeing of all young Australians.
