The story of Noah’s Ark will come to life in a special performance taking place at Mount Gambier’s Wehl Street Theatre on Saturday, April 27.

Actors and musicians from the Revival Fellowship church in Adelaide are putting on the musical ‘Don’t Knock Noah’, which links the ancient story of Noah with the world of today.

The play is regularly performed in Adelaide but has not been shown in Mount Gambier for many years.

Mount Gambier Revival Fellowship pastor Peter Lord said it was exciting to be able to bring the show to the South East.

“I’m actually looking forward to seeing the people come in and come in and enjoy themselves and just be able to see the play and just how much fun it’s going to be — good for kids, good for adults,” he said.

“It’d be nice to get an understanding that God is actually more than just a thing that people talk about but rather there is an experience — there’s something people can have and actually see that he has control on things that take place in this world and the way it’s going.”

The free show is suitable for all ages and begins at 7pm.

There will be face-painting from 6.30pm.

No bookings are required.
