A massive $98,800 in scholarships was shared between 34 students around the Limestone Coast this year thanks to the Stand Like Stone Foundation.

Foundation chief executive officer Roger Babolka said these scholarships would support local students to complete studies across all levels of education locally, across South Australia, and interstate.

“Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our donors, we’re thrilled to be able to continue supporting local students in a variety of ways, whether it’s paying for school fees, assisting with the purchase of course equipment, through to assisting with general living expenses or accommodation costs for students studying away,” he said.

“Our scholarships are all about giving local students the opportunity to thrive so that they, in turn, can make great contributions to our community in the future.”

Scholarships offered in 2024 included:

– $14,950 shared between 14 City of Mount Gambier students
