Top scores in cool conditions

IN overcast, cool conditions, 23 women played a stableford event for the first round of the Heather Walker Memorial Trophy nat the Millicent Golf Club last week.

Some impressive scores were recorded, including B Grade winner Gail Stanley with 45 points and runner-up Glenis Skeer with 43.

A Grade honours went to Robyn Walters with 36 points on a count-back from Helen Chilton, also with 36.

Ball winners were Heidi Muhovics with 37 points, Karen Lock 34 and Lyn Watson 33 after a count-back.

Stanley claimed the nine-hole competition on the front nine with 23 points.

Nearest the pin on the third hole went to Lana Barlow, with Robyn Walters claiming the honours on the 13th.

NTP second shot on the ninth hole for handicaps 0-24 went to Chilton.

NTP second shot on the fifth hole for handicaps 25-54 went to Muhovics.

NTP second shot on the 17th hole for handicaps 32-45 went to Skeer.

Skeer also claimed a birdie on the 17th hole.
