City home to crime investigation branch

DETECTIVES who were recently stationed at Millicent and Naracoorte will move to the Mount Gambier Police Station following South Australian Police’s approval of the centralisation of Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) resources in the Limestone Coast.

This will mean the single detective positions at the Millicent and Naracoorte police stations will be amalgamated with the Mount Gambier CIB to be known as the Limestone Coast CIB.

The changes come following a bid by Limestone Coast Police officer in charge Superintendent Grant Moyle in May to consolidate criminal investigation branch (CIB) services and better streamline delivery.

SAPOL said the amalgamation of CIB personnel would provide an enhanced response and service delivery capability to the entire Limestone Coast Local Service Area.

The moves will be implemented once administrative matters have been addressed.
