THE South East Natural Resources Management Board’s first round of subregional forums for 2019 start next week, with residents invited to continue the conversation about natural resources management in their area.

South East NRM Board presiding member Fiona Rasheed said over the past two years, the forums had provided a platform for the community to provide feedback to the board and raise items for action.

“The board has used feedback from previous forums to introduce new initiatives, update projects and form more local partnerships,” Ms Rasheed said.

“At this round of forums, we will discuss progress on 2018-2019 subregional projects and how to get involved and get your feedback on the board’s draft Business Plan 2019/20-2021/22.

“We also want to hear your ideas for how we could use citizen science in our region and provide an introduction to the board’s new Australian Government National Landcare projects.”

Access a copy of the draft Business Plan on the Natural Resources South East website naturalresources.sa.gov.au/southeast.

“We encourage anyone to come along to find out what is happening in your subregion and to have your say,” Ms Rasheed said.

Forums will be held at the Tintinara Community and Recreation Centre on January 22, Mount Gambier Town Hall on January 24, Robe Bowling Club on January 26 and Gather On Gordon, Naracoorte on January 31.
