KALANGADOO footballer Leroy Larson is still waiting to see if his impending life-time ban from football can be reversed.

He was present via a video-link at a reconvened SANFL tribunal in Adelaide on Wednesday night.

Larson was at a Mount Gambier venue for the 90-minute hearing along with his coach and Magpies vice president Chris Mules.

Present at the Adelaide Oval in person were his Adelaide-based lawyer and former Kalangadoo player Anthony Reynolds and Kalangadoo Football Club president Adam Box.

The Mid South East Football League was represented at the hearing by a lawyer.

Larson’s fate now rests in the hands of the three-member SANFL tribunal who have expertise in the realms of law and football.

One is a serving magistrate and one is a retired magistrate.

They told all parties on Wednesday night their written determination on Larson’s appeal would be handed down by them before the end of the month.

The first hearing a week earlier at Adelaide Oval was adjourned after two hours as Kalangadoo officials did not have access to all requested information.

The appeal process began after the Magpies handed over the $4000 prescribed fee in a bid to overturn the eight game penalty for striking which was handed to Larson.

He had pleaded guilty to striking Robe player Craig Pitt on June 2.

The severe penalty handed out by the Mid South East Football league tribunal meeting in Millicent on June 20 has triggered a lifetime ban.

According to nationwide rules applied by the AFL, a player is automatically de-registered once he reaches a lifetime accumulation of 16 matches.

Larson had already accumulated 10 matches in penalties before joining the Magpies at the start of 2018.

Larson’s last match for the Magpies was on June 16 and he has now missed five matches due to suspension.

Kalangadoo has the bye in Round 16.
