Illegal weapons lead to city man’s arrest

A MOUNT Gambier man was arrested on Friday morning after police found him in possession of two knives and knuckledusters.

The 36-year-old was stopped in the city after police noticed unassigned number plates on the vehicle.

A search also found him in possession of the offensive weapons.

He was arrested and charged with carrying offensive weapons, having unassigned number plates and driving unregistered and uninsured.

He was bailed by police to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court at a later date.
