Melbourne Jeep owners get out of city

THE Melbourne Jeep Owners Club has reported favourably on its recent 20-year anniversary trip to Beachport.

Club spokesman Andre Sorti said his group has always held Beachport in high regard and it is renowned as one of the members’ favoured trips for the club’s events each year.

“The MJOC is one of the most active four-wheel-drive clubs in Australia and can be often seen in convoy heading off to some of Victoria’s many scenic off-road tracks,” Mr Sorti said.

“For the past 20 years we have been coming to Beachport to not only drive the great beaches the area has to offer, but also fund growth into the area such as caravan parks and all the lovely eateries.

“All trips are fully covered under our club insurance, all members are also members of Victorian 4WD and we are a friendly family orientated club, who always cleans up our areas.

“We are definitely not here to tear up the beaches.

“We hope we can keep coming back for another 20 years and if you see us out in town or on the beaches be sure to say ‘hi’.”
