THE women’s Country Basketball League ladder is slowly taking shape, with Mount Gambier’s Lakers sitting down in fifth spot.
They have played just three games, with two losses, but will look to change that this weekend when they host the Cola Kookas on Saturday night.
The Kookas are yet to win a game, with big losses to the Millicent Magic and Horsham Hornets.
The Lakers also struggled against the Magic, but claimed a hard-fought win over Horsham last time out.
As with the men, numbers have been an issue this season, but with a full roster the Lakers should have no trouble accounting for the Kookas, but will need to wait for results of other games to see if they move up the ladder.
