THE Mount Gambier Lakers men will look for a home-court victory on Saturday night when they host the Colac Kookas in Round 7 of the Country Basketball League season.
The Lakers have lost two games so far this season – one to Terang Tornadoes and the other to Horsham Hornets – with numbers on the court an issue.
Only five games have been played by the Lakers so far this season, with a full roster a rare thing.
However, up against the Kookas they would like their chances, with Colac having won just one game from four outings.
However, that win did come against the Tornadoes, which suggests the Kookas cannot be taken lightly.
The Lakers currently sit in fourth place on the ladder behind the Millicent Magic, but have played four less games, so the there is still plenty of time to make up the places and remain in touch as the season progresses.
