Rooster on bumpy road

ROBE V GLENCOE

Going back a few weeks few would have given Glencoe a chance against Robe.

The Roosters were untouchable at the top of the Mid South East football ladder, by how the mighty have fallen.

Robe has now lost three games on the trot, but still have a top-four position sewn up.

What it does is give the Murphies a chance to claim a big scalp before the season winds down.

Glencoe has only tasted victory three times this season and would surely love another one, especially against a top-four side.

Interestingly, back in Round 5 the Murphies had a real crack, with a strong final term pushing the Roosters.

It was too little, too late by then, but five final-quarter goals certainly made the Roosters sit up and take notice.

Regardless of injury concerns, Robe should be able to return to the winner’s list this week to end a mid-season slump.
