ROUND 14 of the Country Basketball League season will provide another tough challenge for the Millicent Magic men.

The Magic will host the Terang Tornadoes on Saturday night, with a playoff position yet to be set.

The Magic sit in fourth place, just ahead of the Horsham Hornets, while the Tornadoes are down in eighth place with just three wins for the season.

However, Terang has certainly shown a competitive nature this season, falling just short in several hitouts.

Last time they face Millicent was a typical example, with the Magic opening the game up in the third term, but in the end claimed the win by just 10 points.

Jackson Bowden and Jack Haggett were prominent in that victory but will be absent this weekend, while Finn Grimes could be another notable exclusion.

Kade Bradley comes off a strong performance last weekend against the Warrnambool Seahawks where his 26 points were needed to claim the four-point victory.

Coach Darren Dean will rely on the persistence and class of Clint Gallio, along with the hard work of Josh Murphy, along with some good minutes from his bench if the magic are to claim the points.

“It is another one of those winnable games, but it is a danger game,” he said.

“We will be a bit light on, but it is one we need to win to keep in the hunt for the top four spot.”
