THE Blue Lake Archers took on four Australian 18-metre Indoor Archery rounds over the weekend.

Ben Kilsby put in a dominant performance as he won all rounds off the bow as well as the handicap-adjusted scores.

The weekend got underway with indoor events at Malseed Park.

Paul Freeman and Kilsby got off to a strong start and Kilsby scored an impressive 299 points off the bow to defeat Freeman by three points.

Round 2 brought a surprise drop in accuracy for the front runners but Ian Harris found an extra 10 points to jump past Tamika Mullan.

However, she was unable to topple Kilsby and Freeman at the top, as Kilsby claimed a four-point win over Freeman.

Poor conditions on Sunday afternoon meant the archers deferred from the outdoor Corriedale Park range to the indoor range instead.

Peter Donhardt emerged as a new competitor to Kilsby but it was not enough.

Kilsby claimed two narrow wins over Donhardt to complete the sweep of the weekend.

The next event is at the Blue Lake Gymnastics Club tonight at 7pm and will be followed by an outdoor round at Corriedale Park at 12.30pm on Sunday.
