More than 4000 premises in and around Mount Gambier/ Berrin were without power for around 30 minutes on Wednesday, March 6.
The outage was fist reported at 11.26am and affected Mount Gambier, Burrungule, Caveton, Compton, Dismal Swamp, Kongorong, Mingbool, Moorak, Mount Schank, OB Flat, Suttontown, Tantanoola, Wandilo and Yahl.
Estimated restoration time was 4.30pm, though SA Power had the lights back on after about 30 minutes.
In that time there was mayhem on the main corner as drivers traversed the intersection with the help of a police officer rather than the usual traffic lights.
