A SPECIAL fundraising concert by Kasey Chambers has changed locations ahead of the big night this weekend to allow for a larger audience.

Originally set for The Globe Hotel, A Night in Support of Zac Watson has changed locations and added a local support act to the line up.

The fundraising event is for former Mount Gambier/ Berrin resident Zac Watson who was training for the Finke Desert Race, when he became paralysed in a serious motorbike crash earlier in the year.

Ms Chambers previously told The Border Watch people who attended the concert were “the people who we are meant to share that moment with”.

“Whoever is meant to be a part of that night will be there and it will be meant for that and however much money we raise will be the amount we were meant to be raising for Zac,” she said.

But with space running out, the location was upgraded to Jens Hotel, and Ms Chambers said she was grateful.

“So grateful that we’ve sold so many tickets already to our special fundraiser for Zac Watson so we are changing it to a bigger venue,” she said.

“It’s now at Jens Town Hall Hotel so we can raise even more money for Zac and his family.”

Limestone Coast band Fox Array has also joined the line up as a support act.

Tickets to the fundraising concert on September 9 are still available online.
