QUESTIONS have been asked about potential adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccinations by a Grant District Council elected member.

During this week’s meeting, Councillor Gavin Clarke reiterated his concerns about possible side effects of the Covid-19 vaccination, claiming many community members had experienced adverse reactions to the vaccination.

Previously, Cr Clarke had requested council write to the Health and Wellbeing Minsiter Chris Picton requesting a letter be written to the minister thanking him for his prior referral and encouraging him to “gain an appreciation of the pertinent distinctions between naturally acquired mucosal immunity and immunity received via intravenous vaccination”.

He also requested for an example be presented to Mr Picton asking why the “life-altering injuries” which were reportedly experienced by residents was not being acknowledged or warned about in the risk disclosures.

At the recent meeting, Cr Clarke requested an update on the letter, questioning whether Mr Picton had responded or not.

Upon hearing that there had been no response as of yet, Cr Clarke then presented a motion without notice, requesting the health minister be invited to attend an online meeting with elected members to discuss reported adverse effects of the vaccine.

The motion was passed.
