Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m that weird mix of sporty and geeky in that I love playing footy, but I’m also more than happy to stay on the couch reading.

I love a good pub quiz despite not being very good at them and I’m usually up for a chat.

While I always look grumpy, that’s not the case because I’m often just thinking about the important things in life like what to have for dinner.

How long have you been a journalist?

Not all that long, but it seems like it has been a while. I first started working as a cadet in early 2020, but the pandemic cut that very short and I hopped over to retail for a bit.

It wasn’t until around December 2021 that I got back into journalism, so I’m keen to get a bit more experience under my belt.

What do you love about journalism?

Meeting new and interesting people, mostly. I’m a bit nosy, so I love finding out about people’s stories and motivations.

If you could interview any person, real or fictional, who would it be?

Tom Stewart. I’m a Geelong fan and he’s my favourite player, so I’d find any excuse to have a chat with him if I could.

What do you think of Mount Gambier so far?

It’s a bit colder than I’m used to, but I’m liking it so far.

I came here a fair bit as a kid to see my aunt, so there’s a fair bit of nostalgia from seeing places around town.

When you’re not working, what are you most likely doing?

It’s hard to say. If I’m not wrapping myself up in blankets and napping on the couch, I’ve probably got my nose in a book or I’m playing some footy (now taking offers from local teams that want a B grade defender).
