Students awarded scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP: Deputy Mayor Gill Clayfield with Mount Gambier High School winner, Gemma Ralph.

Students across the District Council of Grant community have been rewarded for their academic achievements.

Council annually sponsors $500 towards Academic Scholarship Awards for Year 10 – 12 students who reside within the Council area. These students must also demonstrate a number of selection

criteria including their schools values, an exemplary attendance record, and intent to undertake tertiary education.

District Council of Grant Deputy Mayor, Gill Clayfield, is exceptionally proud of all students that have been awarded a scholarship this year.

“Education is key for growth of our young people and a key part of Council’s role in community development,” she said.

2022 District Council of Grant Academic Scholarship Award winners were:

• Nikita Anderson – St Martins Lutheran College;

• Gemma Ralph- Grant High School;

• Brianna Bisnov – Mount Gambier High School;

• Maixence Williams and Sari Mutton – Tenison Woods College; and

• Luke Bald – Allendale East Area School.

Deputy Mayor Clayfield said all 2022 scholarship winners deserve a huge congratulations.

“Council is proud to able to support these students to achieve their study goals and advance in their chosen career pathways,” she said,

“We wish all award winners the very best with their current and future studies.”
