THE Mount Burr Netball Club congratulated Laura Schultz on playing 200 senior games on Saturday.

Schultz made her A Grade debut at 15 years of age and has consistently played A Grade throughout her career.

Many of those games were played while studying in Adelaide at university, where she travelled back each week.

Her speed, drive and determination on court makes her a difficult opponent each week.

She is a dedicated team player and has been rewarded for her outstanding talent at both club and league level.

Schultz’s success of winning a best and fairest in every junior grade continued in her senior career.

The 2010 season was particularly impressive when she won the 17 and Under league best and fairest, club best and fairest and A Grade runner-up club best and fairest.

Other achievements have included winning three club A Grade runner-up best and fairest and five best and fairest awards.

Schultz has represented the league at Country Championships as a junior and senior player.

She has been recognised by the league as a top 10 player and team of the year on numerous occasions.

Schultz won the highest league honour of A Grade best and fairest as a joint winner in 2018 and winner in 2022.

She was also league A Grade runner-up best and fairest in 2023.

Schultz is a passionate and dedicated club person who volunteers her time as an umpire, coach and is a past committee member.

She is currently the club’s Junior 1 coach and was an under 15s premiership coach of an undefeated side in 2017.

She will always put up her had to help around the club, no matter if it is cleaning the courts or selling raffle tickets.

Schultz’s knowledge and encouragement on and off the court, makes her a valued member of the club.

The club is excited to celebrate Schultz’s 200 games and looks forward to cheering her on for many more to come.
