Due to the running of the quarter finals of the Cafe Belgiorno’s sponsored Handicap Championships, a par competition was played for those not involved in quarters on Wednesday.

With the change in weather conditions and a few cheeky pin placements, playing to handicaps seemed unattainable.

Blue Lake Golf vouchers were on offer and it was a three-way count-back to determine a winner in Division 1 from Cherryl Hill, Helen Myers and Dianne Perryman all signing for 3-down.

Hill (25 handicap) was declared the winner after splits of -4/+1 that included pars on the second, 14th and 16th holes.

Myers (19) had splits of -1/-2 with a par on the second hole, four wipes and the rest all squared.

Perryman (20) had splits of +1/-4 that included pars on the fifth and seventh holes.

A count-back was also required in Division 2 between the winner Dianne Allen and runner-up Lucy Richards (33), after both signed for 7-down.

Allen (41) had splits of -4/-3, followed by Richards, signing for the same score.

Her scorecard did show pluses on the 11th and 15th holes.

Nearest the pin second shot on the 16th hole went to Sue Agars (.22cm) and Lynda Nannings won the pro-shot on the fifth (4.20cm).
