THE Mount Gambier Golf Club women contested the Hudson Plumbing and Roofing stableford event last week, with Bernie Jennings claiming a solid victory in Division 1.
Jennings finished with an impressive 40 points, three clear of runner-up Bev Pedlar.
In Division 2 Helen Heaver finished with 37 points to claim the win from Debbie Sheather on 31.
Jan Shanahan finished the day with 35 points, while Helen McIntyre, Di O’Donnell and Trudy Johnson all had 33.
The pro shot was won by Denise Harvey, with long drives going to Johnson, Kate McCormick and Sue Ryan.
Next weeks game is a stableford and will be played on the orange short course.
Johnson continued her good form with a win on Saturday after returning to the clubhouse with 39 points.
O’Donnell was five in arrears with 34 points for the runner-up honours, followed by Vicki Clark on 33.
