GLENCOE V KONGORONG

Glencoe and Kongorong promise to provide an entertaining clash for Round 13 of Mid South East football on Saturday.

While both sides are struggling down the dull end of the ladder, it provides a chance for either side to add a much-needed victory to the season tally.

So far the Murphies have just two wins, while the Hawks have the solitary victory.

That provides plenty of incentive for Kongorong to claim the points and move clear of Nangwarry at the bottom of the ladder and help avoid the wooden spoon as the season continues to wind down.

The Hawks would be buoyed by their last encounter, back in Round 4, when they easily accounted for the Murphies.

That came on the back of a seven-goal haul to Jarrod Ryan.

Glencoe comes off a bye, which should have provided plenty of opportunity for the Murphies to get back on track.

The Murphies have some strong contributors, with the likes of Tory Weaver, Jake Blackwell, Zacc Cocks, Alex Hentschke, Patrick Mitchell – and the list goes on.

It should be enough to claim the points in this one, leaving the Hawks fighting with the Saints to stay off the bottom of the ladder.
