MOUNT BURR V KALANGADOO

Kalangadoo heads to Mount Burr to play off against the Mozzies in a tough clash for Round 9 of Mid South East netball.

Mount Burr’s Lauren Wheeler and Ebony Clark move well and shoot with accuracy, fed from outside with ease by Caitlyn Payne and Laura Schultz.

Kalangadoo defenders Lauren Kain and Lara Munro will put pressure over every ball, forcing errors and creating turnovers for their team.

Down the other end of the court Abbey Duncan and Ebony McDiarmid are able to shoot accurately, moving well in the goal circle together, but they will be under the pressure of Olivia Dean and Megan Thiele.

Jane Auld and Jayde Peacock will apply pressure around the Mozzies’ goal circle for the Magpies and feed the ball back down the court with ease.

This game will likely go the way of the Magpies, but Mount Burr will fight hard for every ball.

KONGORONG V HATHERLEIGH

Hatherleigh heads to Kongorong this weekend to face off in what is set to be another close game.

Hatherleigh’s Erin Watson and Kongorong’s Rachel Perry will have a good tussle through the centre, with both players fighting to create turnovers and gain possession for their respective team.

Kongorong’s Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey move well together within the circle, but they will be under the defensive hands of Maddie Redman and Elly Redden, so will earn every goal.

Hatherleigh’s goalies Demi Vanderhorst and Tegan Telfer are able to combine well in the circle, shooting with accuracy, but any loose balls will be snapped up by the Hawks’ defensive lineup of Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody.

The Eagles will likely come away with the win again, but the Hawks will not go down without a fight.

ROBE V PORT MACDONNELL

Robe hosts Port MacDonnell this weekend and both teams will be vying for a spot in the top four.

Port MacDonnell’s Alana Berkefeld and Alysha Coon have proven to be a tough defensive combination and they will force turnovers from any rebounds provided by Robe’s Tori Gluyas and Demi Carter.

Down the other end of the court Demons goalies Megan Hein and Kori Collins work well together, but they will have pressure applied by Robe’s Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins. Robe mid courters Lucy Perkins and Annie Regnier will work the ball down the court with ease, but Port MacDonnell’s Liza Mutch and Kate Faint will apply pressure and force turnovers.

Robe is likely to finish the day with the points, but the Demons will put up a fight and make them earn every possession.

NANGWARRY V TANTANOOLA

The Saints and the Tigers go head to head this weekend at Nangwarry.

Tantanoola goalies Emma Gould and Keryl Ousey will use their height in the circle and shoot with accuracy.

They are fed well from outside the circle by Kate Varcoe and Casey Walker, who put the ball into their goalies with ease.

Nangwarry’s Kayla Gray and Chrystal Lock work overtime in the defensive circle for the Saints, getting hands to balls and creating turnovers.

Saints Cassie Dinnison and Hayley Burner will feed into their goalies, Hayley Vanderhorst and Tahlia Wilson, who combine well in the circle and will need to utilise every turnover from down the court to keep the score line close.

Tantanoola’s Tayla Rowe and Kate Bromley will force errors and chase up any turnovers, sending the ball back into their attacking end.

Tantanoola will come away with the win, but the Saints will make them earn it.
