MOUNT BURR V KALANGADOO

Mount Burr hosts Kalangadoo in Round 12 of Mid South East football in what should be an enticing clash.

The Mozzies slipped out of the top four just last round thanks to Hatherleigh, but by just a small percentage margin.

That will be enough to spur the Mozzies into action, but against the reigning permiers, who appear to finding some nice form, it will be no easy feat.

When the two sides faced off in Round 3, the result went the way of the Mozzies to the tune of a solitary point.

The contest sea-sawed on the breeze, with Mount Burr coming back in the final stanza to run over the weary Magpies.

There was certainly a scoring end on that day and the Mozzies trailed by 12 points at the final break.

They used the conditions to their advantage and claimed a hard-fought victory.

Kalangadoo comes to this round off a win over the ladder-leading Robe, which would provide plenty of confidence for this encounter.

In contrast, Mount Burr suffered an unexpected loss to Tantanoola and will want to atone for that performance.

Despite being played at the Mount Burr oval, it is hard to tip against the Magpies, who are on a four-game winning streak.

The Mozzies certainly have the players to do the job, but will need no passengers for the full four quarters if they are a chance to disrupt Kalangadoo’s winning run.

Kalangadoo should this one by a few goals.
