KALANGADOO 16.18 (114) D KONGORONG 4.3 (27)

KALANGADOO was certainly in good touch on Saturday, with the extreme conditions not slowing their progress at all.

The Magpies have had a mixed Mid South East football season so far, but now appear to be on track.

That was to the detriment of Kongorong in the Round 10 clash, who, despite the home-ground advantage, were not in the contest after the opening term, dealt an 87-point defeat.

The Hawks kicked one straight goal in the first term at the scoring end of the ground, while the Magpies struggled to harness the conditions, with one goal and four behinds.

However, from there it was all one-sided as Kalangadoo hit the go pedal.

The Magpies added a further seven major scores in the second term, while holding the Hawks scoreless.

They did struggle in the third term, with just three behinds added to their tally, but in the same term the Hawks could only muster two goals and three behinds in total.

The final term was a huge effort from the Magpies, with nine major scores while holding the Hawks to just one.

Even with the slippery Sherrin, Dylan Bromley found his kicking boot in front of goals, with five majors to his name.

Ben Gregory added four, with Scott Agnew, Tye McManus and Brodie Von Stanke-Dowie with two each.

Jett Attard kicked two of the Hawks four majors.
