MOUNT BURR 25.17 (167) D NANGWARRY 8.7 (55)

NANGWARRY is probably chalked up as a danger game for most clubs this Mid South East football season.

The Saints have been on the improve, but Round 10 certainly showed they have a long way to go, with a big 112-point loss.

Up against Mount Burr, the Saints were no match, even after a two-goal opening term.

The Mozzies kicked four and led by 12 points at the first break.

The second term simply opened the game up further, as the Mozzies used the scoring end to advantage and piled on six major scores, while holding the Saints goal-less.

By the long break the margin had opened to 47 points, but the Mozzies were not done.

The scoring end certainly worked for the Saints in the third term, where they were able to add a further five goals to the coffers, while holding Mount Burr to four.

However, the Saints six scoring shots were overshadowed by the Mozzies’ 10, showing the disparity with ball in hand up forward.

To account for the third term the Mozzies lifted in the final stanza.

While the Saints kicked one major score only, the Mozzies were up and about, peppering the goals, with 11 major scores the result from 17 scoring opportunities.

Jack Gregory was the star of the show, with 12 goals on a day out.

Kallan Bevan and Josh Fiebig added four each, while Nathan Muhovics chipped in with two.

At the other end of the ground Andrew Hyland and Joel Virtanen kicked three majors each.
