MILLICENT continued its 2023 Western Border football assault unabated on Saturday, after a big 128-point win over East Gambier.

The Bulldogs were sharp in front of goal, with four straight goals for the opening term in the Round 6 clash.

However, at the other end the Saints had enjoyed nine shots on goal and produced seven majors for a 20-point lead and from there the Bulldogs dropped further behind.

The middle two quarters saw the margin slip well beyond East’s grasp, after the Bulldogs added just two goals and two behinds in that period.

The goals came in the second quarter and only behinds in the third.

Meanwhile, the Saints simply pushed on, with six majors in the second quarter and eight in the third to bury the Bulldogs.

Then far from back of the pace, the Saints pushed just as hard to run the game out with a six-goal final term.

Sam Willis, coach Clint Gallio and Josh Werchon were the best three for the Saints, but it was the way Millicent finished which made all the difference.

Mitch Reilly topped the list of goal kickers, with six majors on a day out.

Jacob Carger continue his good form in front of the big sticks, with four majors, as did Sam Willis.

In total, 11 Saints put their hands up for a goal, with Gallio contributing three, along with Frazer Bradley, Hamish McRae and Jack Verbena adding two each.

On a tough day at the office, East was best served by Frazer Scanlon, Shaun Lock and Nicholas Lock.

Riley Flamank and Connor Little kicked two each for the Bulldogs.
