KALANGADOO claimed a percentage-boosting win over Nangwarry in Round 4 of Mid South East netball.

The Saints had a couple of players out and so they gave some Under 17 talent an opportunity in top grade.

The game started goal for goal, but it did not take long for the Magpies to take flight on their way to a huge 80-goal victory.

Kalangadoo defenders Georgia Gentile and Lauren Kain had the edge on their rivals and made it difficult for Nangwarry goalers Hayley Vanderhorst and Demi Hoffmeister.

A 25-4 goal quarter-time lead soon extended further as Kalangadoo goal shooter Lara Munro a focal point for her feeders.

Jayde Peacock and Cassie Dinnison had a good tussle, while Chloe Peacock moved well around the circle to feed Munro and Abbey Duncan.

A few minutes before half time Dinnison came off with the blood rule which brought Brittany Dycer into the middle.

In the third, Dinnison went to wing attackand youngster Kaitlin Roissetter stepped into Nangwarry’s wing defence.

Nangwarry worked hard but the weight of supply was too much from Kalangadoo.

By the final change Kalangadoo held a 76-10 lead.

In the last Nangwarry made some changes and put Dinnison into goals with Demi Hoffmeister while Hayley Vanderhorst went to wing attack.

This seemed to lift the Saints but the Magpies continued to pounce on any mistakes with some high accuracy shooting from Munro.

Although Nangwarry had its highest scoring quarter to finish off, it did little to subdue the powerhouse Kalangadoo.

The mental health award went to Abbey Duncan for the match, with Munro and Gentile also solid.

Dinnison and Chrystal Lock were best for Nangwarry.
