The Millicent Bowls Club’s annual Flying Doctors fund raising afternoon was deemed a success, with 46 players taking part in one game over 14 ends.
The team with the highest score included Sharon Hyland, David Botting, Robert Hyland and Derek Bowering with a score of 32+20 shots up.
Runners-up were Jamie Vearing (who also had six touches of the jack over the 14 ends), Christine Vearing and Barbara Leicester.
President of the local Flying Doctors committee Ken Haines attended, along with his secretary Max Blacketer and other committee members.
A total of $1241 was donated to the cause.
It included $568 from the Wrong Bias Tin, which is collected over the year, as bowlers donate $1 for every wrong bias they have.
A raffle also raised $443 and greens fees $230.
Haines thanked the Bowling Club for their effort in assisting the Flying Doctor annually.
