Anderson claims win

There were 22 women who played a stableford event for the first round of the Heather Walker memorial trophy at the Millicent Golf Club last week.

Heather Anderson claimed victory in A Grade with 37 points, while Lana Barlow was runner-up on 33.

In B Grade, Sue Ireland amassed an impressive 37 points to take home the win ahead of Tanya Payne who finished with 34 points.

Kirsty Bailey took home the prize for the nearest to pin on the 13th hole.

Virginia DeDonatis was the nearest to pin on the second shot of the ninth hole, while Heidi Muhovics was the nearest to pin for the second shots on the fifth and 17th holes.

Ireland was the winner in the nine-hole competition as she scored 19 points on the front nine.

The ball winners extended to 32 points, with Karen Altschwager, Lyn Watson and Debbie Tincknell taking home the prizes.
