ROBE hosted the Women’s Singles Champion of Champions on Sunday and the Port MacDonnell Bowling Club’s Heather Richards took home the title after an impressive performance.
After a heavy week of bowls in Adelaide for the Country Round Robin and the Open Pennant on Saturday, Richards backed it up on Sunday with a strong display of bowling.
Richards defeated Lucindale’s in the first round of the competition and then proved too good for Mount Gambier’s Kirsty Errock in the second round.
She then defeated Naracoorte RSL’s Lindy Mark to reach the final against Beachport’s Jill Preston.
After an even contest, Richards took home the title for the seventh time and advanced to the South East region Champion of Champions which will be played at Naracoorte on May 7.
