BLUE Lake archers were restricted to jus two rounds of indoor archery over the weekend.

On Friday night, the club-favourite Australian 18-metre round was loaded into the electronic score recording system.

Warming up the body and honing the aim in Round 1 Tamika Mullan, Ben Kilsby and Jeff Puckridge effectively flew in formation with little between the trio throughout the round.

The final off the bow tallies before applying the handicap margins produced no surprises as Kilsby led the group home.

However, once the handicap margins were applied, Puckridge had proved to be the winner with Kilsby a close runner-up four points behind.

After she slipped to the back of the pack in the first round, Fiona Allison fought back in Round 2.

Paul Freeman also picked up his form as the match was headed towards a nail-biting four-way contest between himself and the leading trio from Round 1.

However, a zero-to-hero performance from Allison spoiled the party, as her late turn in form saw her claim top spot.

The final adjusted scores put Allison well clear of the pack to the tune of 18 points.

The remaining four archers were separated by just three points.

After a count-back Kilsby claimed the runner-up position again with Puckridge taking home third place.
