ONLY one women’s game is scheduled for Round 10 of the Country Basketball League South West conference season this weekend.

While other teams enjoy a bye, Millicent Magic will make the trip to Terang on Sunday to played the Tornadoes.

The Magic sit in top spot of the ladder, with just percentage separating them from Mount Gambier.

Terang on the other hand sits bottom, without a win to its name.

The outcome will likely be a percentage-boosting win for the Magic, who have proven capable against all teams this year, even when understaffed.

Last week youngster Poppy Venn and captain Jasmin Howe were best on court, while Emily Winter top scored with 20 points.

Should Winter be available this week, she will be one to watch again, while sisters Georgia Winter and Alana Berkefeld have also been dangerous in the first half of the season.

Venn was reliable from the three-point line and scored a solid 19 points last round, adding further depth to the young roster.

It is unlikely the Tornadoes will pose much of a threat, regardless of who Millicent has on the court and the Magic will emerge from Sunday’s clash with a solid victory.
