THE Millicent Magic men will look to bounce back after their second loss of the Country Basketball League season last week.

The Magic went down to a strong Lakers outfit at the Icehouse, despite a game-high 44-point haul from Frazer Bradley.

That was a clear highlight for the Magic, with just seven points separating the two sides at the final buzzer.

The result, and others from the weekend, puts the Magic in third place on the ladder, well and truly in touch with the Lakers and Ararat ahead.

Last week’s result could come at a cost to the Horsham Hornets, who head to Millicent to face the Magic.

Millicent will need better performances around the basket than just Bradley, with his brother Kade unusually quiet last week.

Jackson Bowden scored 20 points, but is capable of much more.

Likewise, the likes of Jack Haggett, Joshua Murphy and Finn Grimes need to stand tall to ensure the Magic defend their home turf and end the night on a high.

It will certainly be a test, but at home the Magic should be able to take care of business.
