Ferguson flexes strength

There were 69 shooters who competed in the Lake Bonney Sporting Clays 75 Target Club Championship on Sunday.

Shooters were treated to near-perfect conditions, which competitors made the most out of with some impressive scores recorded.

Top honours went to Lake Bonney shooter Brenton Ferguson, who was in top form and shot 71/75.

Ferguson was also the only competitor to shoot a perfect round of 25/25.

Danny Bellinger took out the AA Grade honours with a score of 69/75, ahead of Mark Fabris.

Tom Weir claimed first in A Grade, one target in front of Mick Banning, while Romain Devaud rounded out the top three with 64 targets.

Tim Lloyd was the winner in B Grade, ahead of Rob Clark and Dale Smith.

Rob Vansanten claimed a comfortable win in C Grade over Ian Lister and Neville Jackson.

In the Veteran’s Grade, Burrungule shooter Chris Von Stanke Snr took out first place.

Wayne Gurney was a close-second, just one target behind, while Ernie Scheidl took the final place on the podium.

Lake Bonney’s Tasha Bellinger took out first in the Women’s Grade with an impressive score of 70/75, just one target off the Highgun score.

Bec Kober was the Women’s runner-up and Vicki Fabris third.

Sub-Juniors was won by Shak Von Stanke with 65/75 with Charlie Sims runner-up ahead of Noah Von Stanke and Ethan Vearing.
