Threat of rain disappears

Rain threatened to derail the Millicent’s Bowls Club 2-4-2 competition last week, but with just a brief shower, the afternoon turned out perfect for play.

A field of 40 took to the greens, with Terry Lonergan and Derrick Lindh making the most of it to claim the win with a score of 34+17.

Lurlene Reinders and Carl Schapel finished runners-up with a score of 33+13.

players are advised there will be a barbecue after the Open Pennant game on Saturday, October 15, with all teams playing at home.
