Demons looking to find momentum

PRESSURE: Toni Gilmore's movement in attack will put pressure on the Nangwarry defenders on Saturday.

Nangwarry heads down to the Bay for what is expected to be a wet game on Saturday for Round 13 of Mid South East netball, when they play Port MacDonnell.

The Demons will look to increase their percentage with another good win over the Saints.

Back in Round 5, Port MacDonnell claimed an emphatic 39-goal win at Nangwarry and will be confident it can achieve a similar result on Saturday.

Port MacDonnell is currently seventh on the ladder with five wins in six games and will need to win this clash by a comfortable margin to keep its finals hopes alive.

Kirby Carrison and Toni Gilmore move effectively together in the goal and are both accurate shooters.

This means Nangwarry’s Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges, will have to work overtime to shut down any passes into the circle to limit opportunities.

The tussle between Liza Mutch and Ebony Lawson through the midcourt will be on to watch, while Port MacDonnell’s Jess Lynch will have to work hard to shut down the drive from Kylie Heaver.

Heaver has regularly gotten the ball to her goalies on a regular basis this season and will need to be at her best on Saturday.

The Demons will use their home-court to their advantage and will have enough strength to claim the points.
