THE SE District Women’s Foursomes Championships headed to the Keith Golf Club and was played in ideal weather, with the course in prime condition.
Eight clubs were represented by 32 players in the Champion of Champions event, with Millicent pair Kirsty Bailey and Mary Winser taking out the win and defending their 2021 title.
Kirsty and Mary also won the Championship Gross event with a score of 91 while Di McCully and Robyn Hage were runners up with 97.
The silver salvers that accompany the gross events were donated many years ago by Anne Ryan and Mary Harris and are much-sought-after by players.
In the handicap event the Kingston pairing of Jennifer Gritton and Colleen Manz achieved a nett score of 73.5 to take home the silver rose bowl trophy, while Naracoorte’s Jill Steen and Susie Mort came in with nett 76.
All trophy winners and runner-ups also received K&S fuel vouchers.
