Entertaining round ahead

FULL COURT FOCUS: Robe will look for a full-court performance when it faces Mount Burr in Round 8 of Mid South East netball on Saturday.

Mount Burr v Robe

ROUND 8 of Mid South East netball sees the match of the round at Mount Burr, as the Mozzies host Robe in a third v second clash.

It what is anticipated to be a close match, there will be many good match ups right down the court.

Robe’s Alannah Jennings and Mount Burr’s Meg Fennell will fight it out on the wing and Jennings will have to stop Fennell’s drive to the circle to limit her accurate passes into the Mozzie goalies.

Ebony Clark is incredibly accurate in the goal circle but Robe’s Emma Grant and Ellen Ramke will make her earn every pass.

The combination of youngsters Madi Haggett and Olivia Dean will make every move difficult for Robe’s goalies and chase up any rebounds.

This game has the potential to go either way, with both teams fighting for the win.

Kalangadoo v Tantanoola

After a rough start to the season, Abbey Duncan’s return to the Magpies has provided strength and confidence to the line-up.

Tantanoola will endeavour to rain on that parade this week with the accuracy of Emma Gould and Jami Walker in the goal circle.

Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will fight to create turnovers for Tantanoola but the accuracy of Duncan and Kori Collins will mean any possession for the Magpies in the circle will most likely translate into a goal.

Casey Walker will feed with accuracy into the Tigers goalies but the added pressure of Lauren Kain, Shanen Pulkkinen and Reanna Weatherall in the defensive end for Kalangadoo will not make it easy.

After a tough fight Kalangadoo will come away with the win.

Port MacDonnell v Hatherleigh

The Eagles are heading down to Port MacDonnell this weekend to battle it out with the Demons, with both teams battling for fourth position on the ladder.

Hatherleigh’s Demi Vanderhorst and Lara MacGregor will fight hard in the defensive end to prevent Toni Gilmore’s accuracy within the goal circle.

Port MacDonnell’s Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine will put the pressure on within the Eagles’ goal circle in order to keep Abby Wight and Maddie Redman from having too much possession of the ball, with both goalies’ accuracy a focal point of recent games.

Playing coach Narelle Lewis is a vital part of Port MacDonnell’s attack, with the ability to feed into her goalies with ease.

Brooke Williams and Erin Watson will tussle it out through the mid-court, chasing any loose passes and putting pressure on down the court.

This game will be a tough one for both teams and the outcome could go either way.

Kongorong v Glencoe

Glencoe will enter Round 8 well rested after the bye last week and ready to meet the Hawks at Kongorong.

Kongorong’s Tori McIntyre and Sarah Lucas combine well together in the defensive circle and will put the pressure on Glencoe’s goalies, Laura Edwards and Jenna Paproth.

Down the other end of the court Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen will be working hard to curb the influence of Tilah Buckingham in goals for the Hawks, who is consistently accurate and is backed up by Evie Sealey under the post.

Kate Wright will fight hard and work for every possession for the Hawks, as well as placing the ball into her goalies with precision.

Both teams will fight hard for the win but Glencoe will finish the day with the points.
