THE archery competition for the Blue Lake Archers was restricted to the indoor venue last week.

There were five indoor 18-metres rounds that took place and four different archers claimed victory.

A single round was held on May 8 when Tamika Mullan claimed victory.

Mullan finished 34 points ahead of second-placed Paul Freeman.

There were two rounds held last Friday with two different winners at the end of the night.

The first round was a tight contest with first and third separated by just two points.

Graham Lock claimed a narrow victory with 299 points, Mullan finished second on 298 points and Ben Kilsby rounded out the top three on 297.

The second round was just as tight, as Kilsby claimed a one-point win over Paul Freeman.

The poor weather on Sunday meant the Blue Lake Archers made a return to the indoor range.

Sunday’s rounds were won by Peter Donhardt when he claimed victory by seven points in the first round, and eight points in the second.

Donhardt’s second round score of 305 and 273 off the bow was a new personal best for him.

The Blue Lake Archers return to Malseed Park tonight for indoor archery.
