WEST GAMBIER v EAST GAMBIER

THE Roos let last round’s clash with Millicent slip through their fingers and as such they will be keen for a strong four-quarter performance over reigning premier East Gambier.

West will welcome back sisters Sarah and Jade Ritter, which is sure to help its cause.

The shooting combination of Sarah Ritter and Lisa McGregor is arguably the best in the competition and with Mikaela Horrigan and Tara Bryant delivering the ball, the Roos frontline will test the Bulldogs’ defence.

The battle between East defender Bo Creek and McGregor will be one of the match-deciding battles.

At the other end of the court, Amy Cram comes off a best-on-court performance for West in Round 3.

She will be eager to resume her partnership with Jade Ritter, as they look to deny easy scoring opportunities for Sarah Lock and Amryn Bosko.

Of course, much of that will depend on the mid-court pressure applied by the Roos, as it competes with East’s Emily Hunter and Tarsh McCallum – two of the highest quality mid courters in the A Grade competition.

The Bulldogs will certainly enter the clash with more confidence on the back of a strong win last week but it is hard to tip against the Roos and they should bounce back from their first loss of the year.
