BLUE Lake Golf Club attracted over 100 players for Saturday’s stableford round as Ben Gordon claimed the overall win on 40 points.

Gordon started his day strongly as he opened with two pars and a birdie.

By the end of the front-nine he had picked up 19 points which set him up for a strong finish.

His form continued into the back-nine when he recorded a birdie on the 14th hole.

Gordon accumulated 21 points on the back-nine to claim the overall win.

Greg Cooper struggled for consistency early in his round with a mix of double bogeys, bogeys, birdies and pars to end the front-nine of 19 points.

The back-nine got off to a great start for Cooper, as he scored four consecutive pars to set himself up for the A Grade win.

His impressive round came to an end with 37 points which was enough to claim victory.

There was a count-back required for the final minor-placings with Steve Jelly, John Millhouse, Garry Von Duve and Josh Gale all tied on 36 points.

Jelly’s birdie on the final hole was enough for him to claim runner-up.

Millhouse tied with Jelly for 19 points on the inward-nine, but will be left ruing a double-bogey on the final hole.

Von Duve claimed fourth place with three birdies on the back nine enough for him to finish ahead of Gale.

Gale had a strong front-nine with birdies on the fifth and eighth holes but was unable to continue his form into the back nine.

Simon Perryman claimed the win in B Grade with 39 points.

Perryman’s day was highlighted with a birdie on his fifth hole.

He was consistent throughout the back-nine as he picked up points off every hole, but fell just short of claiming the overall win.

There was a count-back required again for the final placings as Jim Ferrazzola, Stephen Smith and Adam Dunn all finished on 36 points.

Ferrazzola’s birdie on the 12th hole as well as two three-point-holes on the back-nine was enough for him to claim second.

Bruce Tichbon claimed the C Grade win with 37 points.

Tichbon was joined by Brodie Dixon and Owen Redman on 37 points and a three-way count-back was required to determine a winner.

Dixon narrowly missed out on the win, while Redman finished third.

Matt Roscow claimed the overall win in the mid-week stableford round held on Tuesday.

His round finished with an impressive 21 points on the inward-nine which gave him a total of 37 points.

Roscow ended the day in style with three pars and a birdie to secure victory.

John Kamp was runner-up while Tichbon clinched the final place on the podium by count-back over Jake Turner.
