Club well represented

TOP EFFORT: Penola's Liz Rymill made the Open State Skeet Team for the second year in a row, after becoming the first woman to do so in 2021.

SOUTH East skeet shooters proved their marksmanship at the South Australian State Skeet Championships, held at the State Shooting Park north of Adelaide over the long weekend.

Twelve members of Mount Gambier Gun Club headed up to the event vying for the chance to represent South Australia at the National Championships and compete in individual titles against shooters from across Australia.

Penola’s Liz Rymill made the South Australian Open and Women’s teams, Kat Mules and Greg Kessegian made the Veterans team and Casterton’s Hannah Munro also made the Women’s team.

The shooters will represent South Australia at the National Skeet Championships in Wagga Wagga in May.

Gun Club president Andrew Hoare placed third in the State Handicap, while Liz Rymill won the Ladies Doubles championship.
