Bellinger claims high gun

LAKE Bonney Sporting Clays held its Fennell Forestry, 75-target event on Sunday, with 69 shooters in attendance.

Conditions were calm in the morning but the wind picked up in the afternoon to make the event more challenging as the day unfolded.

Highgun was won by Lake Bonney shooter Tasha Bellinger, who also shot a 25/25.

Mick Brennan was the only other shooter to shoot a perfect 25/25.

First in AA Grade went to Tom Weir, ahead of Jeremy Kent and Kingston shooter Bruce Parker.

Chris Von Stanke Jnr claimed the win in A Grade by three targets over Tim Widdison, with Mick Banning rounding out the podium.

Plum Werchon took top spot in B Grade, with Herb Whitehead second and Angus Maddern third.

C Grade went to Rob Van Santen, ahead of Alex Gordon, with Matt Collins third after a count-back.

Leigh Dunn took the top place in the Seniors grade ahead of Greg Kessegian.

Burrungule woman Sonya Vanderhorst claimed the win in the Ladies category, ahead of Megan Whitehead and Bec Kober.

Brodie Von Stanke had no problem winning the Juniors grade with a score of 54/75.

Shak Von Stanke won the Sub Juniors grade by nine targets from Darci Bell and Jack Dyson.

All grade winners were presented with a voucher to the local Sports Power shop in Millicent.
