WITH only two weeks of competition left for the season before the Millicent Bowls Club hosts its Night Owls barbecue, the play continues to heat up.
Last week saw just that, as touches went to Sam Kent (The Pups) 3, Todd Craig (the Pups) 3, Jayden Williams (Bedford Butterflies) 3, Ian Mitchell (Scrappers) 3, Ralph Domashenz (Lions Roar) 3, Ray Doecke (Maccas) 3, Robert Leslie (Somerset Seniors) 3 and Dez King (Beetles) 3.
In Red division, Somerset Legends (David Sharp, Anthony Donghia, Wilbur Lane and Wayne Ross) lived up to their name and defeated Sparkies 30+13 for the overall win.
Other winners were Untouchables 27+3 and Rovers 26+4, while Jack Attack and Max’s Fours both had forfeit for a 27+0 outcome.
Blue division went to Maccas (Ray Doecke, Malcolm McRobert, Graham McRobert and Simon Cooper), who defeated Rotary 30+27.
Other winners were Try Hards 28+19, Grand Hotel 29+12, Somery Seniors 27+4 and Birdies 25+2.
In White division, a high-scoring affair was claimed by Sunnies (Bernie Bowman, Mary Bellinger, Glen Tilley and Barb Leicester), who defeated Lion Cubs 29+15.
Other winners were Scrappers 28+7, Gizzies Crew 28+6, Bedford Butterflies 28+5 and Beanz Team 28+3.
