When rain stopped play Robe was one shot up and with enough ends finished to call it a game, thought they would be declared the winner.

However, the rain stopped and with some sweeping of the green, play started again.

After 25 ends were completed Robe still managed to be one shot up at the finish of play to claim the honours 46 shots to 45.

Nesla Boundy, Clare DeLaine, Barbara Brown and Jan Fisk were defeated by Margaret Rowntree’s team 17-28. while Robyn Dahler, Maria Cooper, Tracey Gray and Ann Moore defeated Heather Lambert’s team 29-17.

Robe will play Lucindale at Kingston this week in the grand final.

All teams that were in front when rain stopped play managed to win the game.
