Competitive nature shines through

WITH just three weeks of competition left for the season, Millicent’s Night Owls bowlers continue to enjoy the competition.

Last week showed the competitive nature of players, keen to reverse losses from earlier in the season as they continue to improve their game.

Touches went to Sam Kent (The Pups) 3, Brendon Buchanan (Mallee) (Lion Cubs) 3, Robert Dunn (Lion Cubs) 3, Ian Grosser (Somery Seniors) 3, Bernie Bowman (Sunnies) 3, Clayton White, Don Gilbertson and Nigeral Ross 3.

Rovers (Mick Pedler, Stephen Skeer, John Buhlmann and Rodger Buckmaster) defeated Beetles 30+26 to claim the Red division honours.

Other winners were Mossies 28+4, Sparkies 27+5 and Somerset Legends 26+2, while Bits and Pieces had a forfeit by Tant Tigers 27+0.

In Blue division, Awesome Foursome (Dave Turner, Derek Bowering, Robbie Gordon and Mary Clifford) defeated Rotary 29+12 for the win.

Other winners were Lions 28+12, Somery Seniors 26+4, Grand Hotel 26+2 and Birdies 25+3.

White division went to Lion Cubs (Brendon Buchanan, Graham Arney, Keith Fields and Robert Dunn) with a defeat of Gizzies Crew 30+14.

Other winners were The Pups 29+14, Miss Fitts 28+7 and Beanz Team 26+1, while Lions Roar won on a forfeit.
