Good run for night bowlers

THE Millicent Bowling Club’s Night Owls competition has gone ahead unhindered by the

Covid-19 virus to this point.

Last week bowlers were reminded to stay at home if experiencing any flu-like symptoms to ensure the competition could continue unaffected.

Last week’s competition saw touches from Jamie Veering (Grand Hotel) 5, Bernie Bowman (Sunnies) Barb Leicester (Sunnies) 3, Jaydon Williams (Bedford Butterfles) 3, Simon Laslett (Lions Roar) 4, Graham Watson ( Bits & Pieces) 3 and Mary Dawson (Birdies) 3.

Red division went to Mossies (Garth Baker, Peter Hyland, Jim Hyland), who defeated Tant Tigers 29+11 for the win.

Other winners were Sparkies 27+6 and Jack Attack 25+7, while Somerset Legends had a draw with the Untouchables 15-17.

Grand Hotel (Jamie Veering, Chris Veering, Bill Chapman, Jim Taylor) defeated Lions with a score of 30+18 to claim Blue division.

Other winners were Birdies 27+2, Maccas 27+2 and Try Hards 27+2, while Awesome Foursome and Somery Seniors had a draw 17, 15.

in White division, The Pups (Jez Jones, Todd Craig, Luke Ferguson, Sam Kent) defeated Mayura Mob with a score of 29+14.

Other winners were Miss Fitts 27+11, Lions Roar 27+3 and Scrappers 27+1, with Beanz Team and Bedford Butterflies having a draw 18, 15.
