In perfect conditions for bowls, 14 teams played four games of nine ends – two before lunch and two in the afternoon.
In first place with 114 points, was a combination team of skip Bill Richards, Ron Cox, Beryl Messenger and Barb Milstead from Port MacDonnell and Mount Gambier.
In second on 113 was skip Jennifer Bowering, Gary Bowering, Fiona Pearson and Craig Pearson from Mount Gambier RSL.
Third on 109 was skip Steve Farrell, Pat Lynch, Helen Lynch and Kerry Pedlar in a combination of Mount Gambier and Robe.
In fourth on 108 was skip Danny Gaut, Elaine Pruis, Lyn Vanderley and Joe Pruis from Port MacDonnell, while in fifth on 108 was a team from Port MacDonnell with skip Tim Wrightson, Jennie Tilley, Robyn Burley and Ben Tilley.
In the mid-week Pennants Port MacDonnell Blue defeated Mount Gambier Blue 46 shots and 6 points to 44- 2.
Michael Glynn, Chris Negline, Barrie Schmidt and skip Carol Schmidt won 24-20, while Lorraine Mackereth, Danny Gaut, Lance Fisher and skip Terry Seiler lost 22 -24.
Port MacDonnell Red lost to Millicent Red 49-8 to 43-0.
Elaine Pruis, Keith Dowdell, Heather Richards and skip Bill Richards lost 26-30, while Des Horrigan, Jan Dowdell, Kevin Henderson and skip Robert Hutchesson lost 17-19.
In the women’s Division 1 Pennant Port MacDonnell lost to Mount Gambier RSL Red 42-6 to 41-2.
Elain Pruis, Jennie Tilley, Carol Schmidt and skip Heather Richards won 22-16, while Sharon Perryman, Lorraine Mackereth, Robyn Burley and skip Judith Grosvenor lost 19-26.
Division 2 Port MacDonnell lost to Robe 64-8 to 30-0.
Lyn Jones, Shirley Taylor, Lyn Vanderley and skip Marilyn Sutton lost 15-26, while Suzanne Connell, Nallia Lucas, Heather Fox and skip Cheryl Doddridge lost 15-38.
In the weekend’s Division 1 Pennants, Port MacDonnell were defeated by Naracoorte 82-8 to 73-4.
